IEEE emeritbadges.org Program
The IEEE emeritbadges.org program has developed hands-on electricity and electronics instructional material based on the Boy Scouts' merit badge requirements. Instructional material for computer education is being developed. Any student, boy or girl can use the program to enhance technical literacy and learn more about viable engineering and other technical career options.  The IEEE emeritbadges.org program will be sponsoring the Electricity Merit Badge and the Electronics Merit Badge booth at the 2010 National Scout Jamboree.

Volunteer Training Program Update - The volunteer training program for the Electricity and Electronics Merit Badge Booths will be held Monday, 26 July 2010, 0800 hrs – 1200 hrs.  The training will be held at our booths, look for the pink flamingos, at the 2010 National Scout Jamboree Merit Badge Midway.  The training date is being changed to allow some of our volunteers to participate in the BSA Grand Centennial Parade in Washington, DC on Sunday http://www.boyscouts-ncac.org/openrosters/DocDownload.aspx?orgkey=2010&id=77060.  Traffic at the Jamboree is expected to be heavy on Monday morning with the arrival of 40,000 scouts and their gear.  If you are staying off-site, please plan on arriving extra early due to traffic.  Our booth will be opening to the scouts for our first classes on Monday, 26 July 2010 at 1300 hrs.
