Women are under represented in engineering career fields. The first goal of
this portion of the IEEE emeritbadges.org Project will be study the methods of
technology learning for girls. Then we will design age and gender appropriate
material and programs to enhance technical literacy and learn more about viable
engineering and other technical career options for girls. We are actively
working with the Girl Scouts of the USA on this project.
This site will expand as our girl-oriented program is developed.

- Attention, Women in Engineering: Canada Calling
Two years ago, the number of Women in Engineering groups in IEEE
Region 7 (Canada) was, in round figures, well, zero. Today, after a
commitment from the region's director and the tireless efforts of some
dedicated volunteers, Canada has nine women's groups and is on track
